Land Acknowledgement
We recognize and honour that we learn and play on the unceded and stolen land of the Coast Salish Peoples. This includes the territories of the Skxwú7mesh-ulh (Squamish) and shíshálh (Sechelt) nations. By acknowledging this and acknowledging the privilege that those of us who are settlers have on this land, we wish to take steps to stop the further perpetuation of colonization of people and the land.
Where and when we make the acknowledgement
We at Wildwood Learning, including management, employees, teachers, and staff, are strongly encouraged to acknowledge the land we occupy in any or all of the following ways:
Post our acknowledgement statement(s) on our website: on the homepage, on a dedicated page, and linked in our site footer.
Including our acknowledgement statement in our email signatures.
Adding the acknowledgement statements to course syllabi.
Making an acknowledgement statement at the start of our programs, meetings, events and presentations.
